This state-of-the-art corrections facility is located approximately 13 kilometres southeast of Grafton in New South Wales, Australia. The complex provides 1,700 beds with a focus on rehabilitation to help reduce the rate of reoffending.
It is estimated that over the next 20 years, the centre will inject more than $560 million into the local economy with 1,100 jobs created during construction and about 600 permanent operational jobs.
The construction process was enormous and complex. 350,000 cubic metres of earth was moved, 65 buildings constructed and 52,300 cubic metres of concrete were placed.
